Kathryn Patricelli, MA has been an editor with Mentalhelp.net since the winter of 2004. She received her Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services, and holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and also one in Philosophy with an Applied Ethics Concentration. She has worked in the past as an Employee Assistance Counselor doing individual, couples and family counseling. She also worked as a generalist in the Human Resources field for over 10 years handling employee relations, staffing, compensation/benefits and training/development.
Kathryn has written a number of in-depth topic center documents for the site, including adoption, child care, grief and bereavement issues, death and dying, and elder care. Her mental health interests include child development, family relationships, grief and loss work, and workplace issues.
In addition to her work with Mentalhelp.net, she is a freelance writer and editor focusing on topics applicable to small businesses and human resources staff. She also does HR consulting and project management work on a contract basis.
Aside from work, her interests include reading, scrapbooking, web design, and spending time with her husband and young son.
