Asylum Squad: Comic Strip 9

Asylum Squad Strip 9

Another wordy comic! (Don't worry... I learned to trim the fat with time! Wordiness has been the biggest complaint I've received about the earlier comics.)

I just want to mention that I did have that dang penguin in my psyche for a long time. At first it was funny because I loved Wallace and Gromit's 'The Wrong Trousers' by Nick Park, but it was as though it was burned into my mind, and by the 4th week of seeing it and little else within my psyche, I began to panic. Four months later, it finally left, but I won't go into the details right now, because I'm still working on this character's story and I might spoil it if I reveal too much of my own.

Sarafin is a Toronto-based artist and writer, a student of illustration, and a self-described psychiatric survivor. She currently writes and draws a webcomic entitled 'Asylum Squad', which exemplifies the psychotic experience, satirizes psychiatry, and parodies drug culture. You can now view all of The Psychosis Diaries strips at and of course the ongoing series is available at
