Asylum Squad Comic Strip 47

Asylum Squad Comic Strip 47

Sorry for the wait, everyone! While Hallowe'en was fast approaching, I didn't have much time for emailing and blog updating, what with the costuming I had to get to work on. (I went as the Scissor Sisters logo, if anyone is curious.) The ongoing 'Asylum Squad' strip series is now on hiatus on my main webcomic site, and I will resume posting pages after I finish a writing course I will be taking this winter. (The next "book" is going to continue the story, but it will read quite differently from what readers have gotten used to. It will be much more sophisticated - at least, that's my hope.)

Since horses are a major part of Liz's condition, I inserted a revamped version of this classic lullaby into the comic. It just seemed to work somehow. Also, I think this strip was a turning point for me as far as inking goes: it gets bolder from this point on.
