Dump the Resolution and Adopt an Acronym
Happy New Year everyone! It's time to start using the new calendar and keep writing '2012' (oops) for a while. This is also our traditional time for reflection of our lives and setting goals and intentions for the upcoming year.
What to do though if you are, like me, one of those anti-resolution folks? Resolutions are made to be broken. It is strange but true that we are commonly not so resolved in our resolutions. Let's not set ourselves up for failure and disappointment, there is surely enough of that going around already.
I came up with another approach to setting off into the New Year. Create your own acronym to live by. Here is mine, as an example.
Here is my friend's acronym for 2013, which is LAF
Your acronym for 2013 is more of a guide and reminder and less of a goal or resolution to meet. Invite others to create their 2013 acronym and then support each other in following your guideline for the year.
Here's to LAF-ing and SOCIAL-ness. Have a GREAT New Year!
