Film can be another good means of understanding grief. If you haven't seen it before (and many have not) we recommend that you view the beautiful 1995 film "Maborosi" by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-Eda which deals with the psychological adaptation of a young widow to the sudden loss of her husband.

i found the iformation from these pages very helpful to me as i was a child of 7 who lossed her dad. and now at the age of 49 i am trying to deal with the grief, with help from counsiling. i have take alot of comfort and knowledge from these pages.  thank you
