Sally has practiced and provided clinical supervision for the Louisville family agency where she was also Director of the Professional Training Program and Clinical Director for the Post-Masters Training Program. She taught classes in family therapy at The University of Louisville in both the post-masters' Family Therapy Program and Kent School of Social Work as well as a course in couples therapy at The Louisville Seminary. She has consulted with family businesses through her affiliation with the University of Louisville Family Business Center.
Sally has many personal and professional experiences that she brings to her practice. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, neighbor and friend. Her style is friendly, warm and engaging. She focuses on her client's strengths and resources, as well as the things that they are currently doing right as a way of enhancing and developing ways to face up to the changes and challenges that bring them to therapy.
Sally specializes in couple and relationship work. She has helped couples navigate many different problems such as infidelity, remarriage and loneliness and distance. Sally also works with individuals with issues of depression, anxiety, stress and PTSD.
Sally and her husband, family therapist John Turner, LCSW, LMFT, have presented workshops, seminars and retreats for couples and singles with a focus on finding and maintaining healthy relationships.
